- Final appearance of Lionel Hutz as his final speaking appearance was in "Realty Bites" as he, along with Troy McClure, had been retired out of respect due to the death of their voice actor, Phil Hartman (d.1998). Hutz can be seen as one of the crowd of people at the bus stop and rushing to a bus, trampling Lisa in the process.
- The title of the episode is based on a sign on going out of business "Lost our lease!"
