100 Yard Gash is an episode of The Itchy & Scratchy Show.

Plot[edit]

The scene is the Olympic Games: A fanfare is heard, and then the theme from Chariots of Fire begins playing. Scratchy is participating in the 100-yard dash. Just before the race begins, Itchy sneaks up behind Scratchy and nails his tail to the ground. When the starting gun goes off, Scratchy tries to start running, but he's stuck by the nail in his tail. He tries again and his skeleton leaps out, leaving his fur and flesh behind. Scratchy's skeleton wins the race and appears on a "Wheatees" box.

After the cartoon finishes, the screen says, "Good luck to our athletes from Itchy and Scratchy, official animated cat and mouse team of the 1984 Olympics,"

Trivia[edit]

  • This is the very first episode that Homer and Bart see together. Bart was two years old at the time.
