References/Trivia

Cultural references[edit]

  • The title is a reference to Shit My Dad Says, a popular Twitter feed by Justin Halpern. It has since been adapted into a TV show.
    • Lisa's account references this, as Halpern's account is also about quotes from a relative, in this case his father.

Goofs[edit]

  • Several characters at the Springfield Elementary School have discolored clothes.
  • In one frame where the Simpson family are having dinner, the pink wallpaper overlaps Lisa's eye.
  • In one frame at the Springfield Center for the Moderate Arts, Benson Scott has stubble.
  • In the frames at the Springfield Center for the Moderate Arts, the features on the chatterbaby poster change. In some frames, the text above the picture of Maggie has vanished, and the pattern on the end of the pillow Maggie is sitting on keeps disappearing.
  • In one frame, Buck-toothed boy has two teeth sticking out of his mouth.
