Trivia

  • This is the first televised appearance of the Simpson family.
  • This short is a bonus feature on the third disc of the Season 1 DVD Box Set.
  • The only character whose name is mentioned is Lisa. Dad refers to Bart as "son", Mom does not say Maggie's name and just sings her a lullaby, and she refers to Dad as "dear".
  • Maggie says "Good night" in this short; this is not considered her first word. Liz Georges provided her voice in this short.
  • The design of the bedrooms is empty compared to subsequent appearances.
  • The door frames are rectangular but are semi-circled in subsequent appearances.
