With Great Power... is a Bart Simpson Comics story that appears in Bart Simpson #86.
Synopsis
- "Bart and Milhouse seek out their own superheroic origin stories by attempting to acquire "accidental" superpowers. However, they soon discover that with trying to obtain great power comes great irresponsibility."
Plot
Bart and Milhouse is in Bart's treehouse and reads comic books. They decide to also become superheroes. They make a visit to Professor Frink where Bart "accidentally" pour an incomplete formula over Milhouse. The formula is made for giving you more hair and it turns out that it works on Milhouse. The attempt to get Milhouse to become a superhero failed so they try to instead Milhouse getting hit by lightning so he holds an umbrella when it thunders. Milhouse gets hit and gets a shock but does not change and is not a superhero.
Bart and Milhouse next path is to do like The Stinger. Milhouse is going to be stung by radioactive wasp. It turns out that they were not radioactive and Milhouse get only wasp sting after the experiment. Bart and Milhouse have run out of ideas but after they come on at they need something that can provide them with real energy and they decide to visit the plant. They go into the room with the containment core where they discover that Homer has shut himself in a room and they save him to become mutaed into an amazing colossal Homer. Homer asks the kids what they doing on the plant and they tell him they want to get super powers, Homer tells then that they already have super powers, the power to be kids. Bart and Milhouse gets excited and starts enjoy their new powers. Next day when Milhouse is being bullied, he realizes that his new super powers did not work.
