Saint Patrick's Day is an event, originating from Ireland, where people remember St. Patrick. It usually involves a lot of alcohol.

History

During the Saint Patrick's Day parade one year, Bart accidentally becomes drunk, eventually leading to the outlaw of alcohol in Springfield.

Springfield also tried to hold an alcohol-free Saint Patrick's Day but without the alcohol, the Protestants and Catholics remembered how much they hated each other and there was a big street brawl.

Behind the Laughter

"In the Name of the Grandfather" aired in the UK and Ireland on Saint Patrick's Day, before it aired in America.
