Bring Your Parents to School Day is a Bart Simpson Comics story that appears in Bart Simpson #14.
It's "Bring Your Parents to School Day" at Springfield Elementary, and a number of students and parents (among them Bart and Homer) are seated in Mrs. Krabappel's classroom. Over the intercom, Principal Skinner gives a general welcome to everyone. However, he too has brought his mother to school for the day. She criticizes Skinner's diction and posture, and the two of them get into an argument over the open mike. The argument annoys Mrs. Krabappel, but amuses the students and parents in her classroom.
As the school day gets underway at 8:00 a.m., Bart gives Homer the lowdown on how to behave in the classroom, telling him to avoid eye contact with the teacher, and, above all, to not embarass him. Homer replies that it won't be a problem—"It'll be like shooting pork in a barrel", as he puts it, misquoting the expression "shooting fish in a barrel".
At 9:00 a.m., Homer goes on a tirade about Gilligan's Island. Bart envisions Homer as a big dumb-looking ape and reminds him that they're talking about the War of 1812. Bart is embarrassed by Homer's tangent, but everyone else thinks it's funny.
At 10:00 a.m., Homer takes over the classroom discussion to tell a fart joke, but fails to get any laughs. As he delivers the punchline, Bart sees him as a loudly braying donkey and pleads with him to shut up.
