Miss Springfield (voiced by Pamela Hayden) is a beauty pageant winner, who first appears in "Whacking Day". She is the lover of Mayor Quimby, and is seen several times in bed with him. She only appears with the tape and the crown of Miss Springfield. She is based on Marion Davies but resembles Pamela Anderson.
Over the seasons, Miss Springfield underwent a design change and reappeared in later seasons with a new look.
In "Mayored to the Mob", she is one of two women escorting Mayor Quimby to the nerd convention. Since then, she is often seen escorting Mayor Quimby to Springfield events. She is illiterate. In She Used To Be My Girl, news reporter Chloe Talbot revealed a video of Mayor Quimby's womanizing. In the video, Miss Springfield had read Quimby's sash as "Major", causing him to get frustrated with her. In "See Homer Run", she happily ran for mayor while boasting about how amusing she'd look while parading around the mayor's office. In "Last of the Red Hat Mamas" she berates Mayor Quimby about lying to her about Martha Quimby's "death". He scolds her for lying about her graduating from "typing school". She then admits she has trouble with the space bar.
Ever since, "Mayored to the Mob", she is often escorting Mayor Quimby to Springfield events, like nerd conventions, recitals, and plays. In "Homerazzi" she was seen dancing with the celebrities, as she was one of the few Homer took a compromising photo of. While, (in bed) Mayor Quimby then revealed she was illiterate. In one episode, she had finally spoken to Mayor Quimby, causing him to panic while saying, "Aw no! That's how you sound like? I never should have bought you that opera house!". She has a quavering, somewhat reverbrating voice. In She Used to Be My Girl, news reporter Chloe Talbot revealed a video of Mayor Quimby's womanizing. In the video, Miss Springfield had read Quimby's sash as "Major", causing him to get frustrated with her. In The Simpsons Movie, she appears in her first look (three different times), however this may be an error due to the mob scene being created years before Miss Springfield's second look came along.
