The Christmas Orange is a book in the same series as Little Cabin on the Plain.

History

Homer read the book to Lisa. In the book, the father walked back home for 23 miles with an orange for Christmas. But Becca couldn't taste it as she had passed away from Scarlet Fever so they zested the rind of the orange over her grave.

Behind the Laughter

The Christmas Orange is a parody of the books from the Little House on the Prairie series.
