Eating Cake (which initially aired in the United States on July 12, 1987)is the seventh Simpsons short.

Plot

When attempting to call the family for cake, Marge gets angry, as the family does not arrive. However, upon the threat that anyone who does not arrive goes without dessert, the family quickly comes to the table. She then points out that they forgot to say grace before eating. Homer conducts grace while Maggie innocuously looks around the room, and Marge comments that the family could do with learning manners. She concedes that dinner should not be eaten in silence and the family recommence communication. The episode ends when Homer turns the television on and they find out, rather morbidly, that a bus crash has killed 43 people.
