George Wendt is an American actor, best known for the role of Norm Peterson on the television show Cheers. He took on the role of Norm Peterson in the episode "Fear of Flying".

George Wendt was voted joint 20th in IGN's "Top 25 Simpsons Guest Appearances" along with Cheers co-stars Ted Danson, Woody Harrelson, Rhea Perlman and John Ratzenberger.
