Project Appearances

I am not great with the attractive side of wikis and making things look great so I hoped you wouldn't notice. :) The Solar Dragon 06:15, June 28, 2010 (UTC)

My Bot

Hey, my bot is now inactive due to problems with my laptop and it refusing to work again. If you want to make a bot, I could help you out. It may come in useful. The Solar Dragon 20:23, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

If you need one but cannot make one, then I know a couple people who have bots and wouldnt mind using them Kingcjc 20:26, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
It is just we should have one at all times to kick into action when needed. I would prefer a main contributor to the wiki to have one rather than an outside user. I did have that job with SolarBot and then Notepad had to screw up. The Solar Dragon 20:40, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
I've downloaded all the required stuff, now what? --Smiley12 was here at 05:58, June 30, 2010 (UTC)
You have to create a file in the families folder called simpsons.py. You have to open a notepad document, copy and paste the stuff from User:Solar Dragon/Pywikipedia and save it as a .py (just put simpsons.py, that will do it). You then need to open user-config.py in notepad and change things for your username and add simpsons where it is needed into it. If this fails, copy and paste the code into a sub-user page and I will change it for you. The Solar Dragon 07:09, June 30, 2010 (UTC)
1. I downloaded Python from here and Pywikipediabot from here.
2. I clicked "edit this page" on User:Solar Dragon/Pywikipedia, And copied everything there.
3. I Opened a notepad and pasted the stuff saving it as "simpsons.py"
4. What do I do now... "user-config.py" cant be found anywhere... --Smiley12 was here at 22:45, July 4, 2010 (UTC)
Sorry I didn't see this sooner. Back in the previous file (out of the families file), it should be there. ☆The Solar Dragon 08:37, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

No Problem! --Smiley12 was here at 03:36, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

Blocked User template

Could you make a template saying "this user is blocked infinitely because: Reason" or something? Or, do you think this is a bad idea? ☆The Solar Dragon 21:04, July 7, 2010 (UTC)

Yep, I've seen that on some wikis, I'll make it soon --Smiley12 was here at 21:33, July 7, 2010 (UTC)
Template:User Blocked --Smiley12 was here at 19:24, July 7, 2010 (UTC)
Applied to users up until 2008. Most of the others seem like unacceptable user names etc. On another note, check recent changes. I apparently edited a user page at around 1:00 in the morning UTC even though I did it around 6:00 and I wasn't up at 1. ☆The Solar Dragon 00:24, July 8, 2010 (UTC)
was that to User:NNewt84's user page? You apparently added the Blocked User template before I even created it (that wasn't there a few hours ago) --Smiley12 was here at 06:01, July 8, 2010 (UTC)
