• Micheal McKean would later guest star in the episode "Monty Can't Buy Me Love" as Jerry Rude.
• Harry Shearer, a regular Simpsons voice actor, is also a member of Spinal Tap. He plays himself in this episode along with the rest of the band.
• Otto later gets fired in the episode "The Mook, the Chef, the Wife, and Her Homer".
• It's ironic at the end of the concert that Otto was (along with Snake) the one who started the riot (and was implied to be the reason behind Spinal Tap's flops).
• Goofs--Continuity: Bart's guitar is a left handed guitar when he is learning how to play, yet Otto can play it perfectly on the bus despite being right handed. Later, when Otto is playing guitar with Bart in the garage, the guitar switches between being a left handed model played righty by Otto, to a right handed model, all in the same scene.
