"Remember the Alimony" is a cartoon starring Itchy & Scratchy.

Plot

Scratchy packs his bags and leaves as his his wife(only arm seen) kicks him out of the house. Invited to Itchy's house, Scratchy arrives as a card game is taking place, Itchy hugs Scratchy, takes his bags and then cuts off Scratchy's head with an axe. Itchy then takes Scratchy's head, turns it upside down and pours guacamole down his neck for the chips as Scratchy's body sits down and shuffles for the card game. A Hippo puts his beer can on the table, with Scratchy advising to use a coaster, leading to Itchy cutting off Scratchy's tongue to use as a coaster. Scratchy then says "uh oh the Pigeon sisters" as two pigeons fly down on the table and start pecking his face as the cartoon ends.

Behind the Laughter

The cartoon parodies the movie, The Odd Couple with Scratchy in the role of Felix and Itchy in the role of Oscar. The Pigeon sisters reference Cecily and Gwendolyn Pigeon from the film who try to date Felix. The two Pigeons who peck Scratchy in the cartoon have the hairstyles of Cecily and Gwendolyn from the film.

Notes

  • Scratchy's tongue reappears after it is cut off.
  • Homer responds to the cartoon by saying "I wish my head was filled with guacamole.
