Chateau d'If Prison is a prison on the French island of Château d'If.

In a retelling of The Count of Monte Cristo, Homer was placed there after Moe accused him of treason. Homer later escaped from the prison with help from his cell mate.
Behind the Laughter
- The small French island of Château d'If is located a mile off France, and used to serve as a fortress before becoming a prison, which was closed when the island was demilitarized in 1890.
- The island is most famous for appearing in Alexandre Dumas' novel The Count of Monte Cristo, which is retold in this episode.
