The Martin Chronicles! is a Bart Simpson Comics story that appears in Bart Simpson #82.
Synopsis
- "Martin Prince decides to make a move up the Springfield Elementary food chain by auditioning for the role of Bart’s second banana."
Plot
Sherri and Terri has their birthday party, and Martin is not invited to it. He realizes that becuse he is the least popular student and he must take over that person that is before him which is Milhouse and because Milhouse is friends with Bart, he must take his place as Bart's best friend. The next day tell Martin for Bart that he wants to challenge Milhouse to take over his place as his best friend. Bart hesitant but after Martin gives him some raisin roundies which he likes he accept Martin's challenge. The next day will Milhouse give Bart some comic books but he does not like them. Martin gives Bart some tips for the test which worked and gives him a perfect score. Milhouse then try to give Bart same clothes as he has but he refuses to take it on. Martin makes at the playground teen a play about how good it is to be Bart. Bart sees the play and he likes it.
The next day during show and tell showing Milhouse pictures of pranks that he and Bart had made which made so they both get detention. Bart starts to use after that their competition and to let them doing Barts task at the garden and homework. Next day when Bart when Bart was on his way to give them a paper with their tasks, saw Skinner that he is about to give them paper and it would violate the school's paper handing policy. Bart says then that they're going to the suggestion box which Skinner enjoys.
Skinner reads the proposals which is more homework and chroes and after he accept starting the other students get angry at Bart and Milhouse and Martin refuses to help him. Martin and Milhouse are raking the playground which is one of the new chroes that now students have had and they conclude that since Bart is the least popular student now it became tied so they both became winners. Allison Taylor offers then they both to came to her birthday party.
