On March 3, 2012, due to connectivity problems, Tapped Out was removed from the App Store. As of April 22, 2012, EA is still resolving issues with the game. According to EA in an interview, Tapped Out will be re-released later on in the year. In mid-June 2012, EA took the game offline to fix the server, and to fix the Springfields which experienced problems.

The Simpsons: Tapped Out is a free game for iOS, developed and published by Electronic Arts, first released on February 17, 2012. The game consists of the player helping Homer and other characters to rebuild Springfield. The game features the original cast. An Android version of Tapped Out is planned, but not in the makings yet.
