Dates and other out-of-universe information

Hi, unless stated in the episode, could you please leave dates of release and other out-of-universe information from articles as this has not been confirmed in the show. Thanks, The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 08:21, 25 March 2012 (EDT)

Why? It's only minimal information and a bit of subtext about certain real life topics doesn't hurt anyone. Otherwise the references will only make senses to people already familiar with the subject. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kjell Knudde (talkcontribs) 09:52, 25 March 2012‎

Because the information could be wrong and is not stated so in the episode. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 10:05, 25 March 2012 (EDT)

First of all: the information I add isn't wrong. It can be found in many reliable sources. If necessary I will add them.

Second of all: the world is bigger than "The Simpsons" show alone. If we are adding real life references too, we might as well give some verified, neutral and concise information about them.

Third of all: "The Simpsons" show often references stuff that not everybody will get. If you just write an article without explaining the context of the reference then this wiki doesn't add anything informative at all.

Fourth of all: Even "The Simpsons" show itself makes mistakes. It is important to point those out.

Please don't

Please don't write in which episode things happiness in the text, just add. <ref>"[[EPISODENAME]]"</ref> /AleWi 09:30, 25 March 2012 (EDT)

Film references

Don't mix film references with the films seeing in Simpsons, for example look at South Park (TV show) and South Park. /AleWi 10:01, 25 March 2012 (EDT)

I don't see the difference between those two articles? As far as I'm concerned they could be put into one article instead of two confusing ones. I also don't see what this has to do with my articles? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kjell Knudde (talkcontribs) 10:07, 25 March 2012

Firstly, they're not "your" articles. Secondly, please sign your comments with ~~~~ and thirdly, we have one article for in-universe content (the show/movie in The Simpsons) and one for real world content (the references to the show/movie).
