+ | ::::No, that redirect is also a duplicate image. If I delete it, that will leave a lot of red image links everywhere. That is why I haven't deleted it yet. Just forget about it please. Featured Article template
So...what's happening now? Are we doing it? A lot of people seem quite happy with it and are suggesting ideas? Effluvium talk contributions email 11:22, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
- Go on then. You can get the code for getting it in teh top corner from the Template:Realworld. I am asking you to decide on an image for it due to the fact I think the other admins can decide to do things without asking me for help all the time. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 11:24, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
- OK. I'll get to work on that now. Effluvium talk contributions email 11:27, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
- Right, I've got the new Duff beer can (I got the cartoon version, instead of the real-life can which was used before). However, I want to get the same style that Wookieepedia use, where they have a little row of pictures next to the article title, look See here. However, I can't seem to find the code. Sorry, to bother you...again. I'll keep trying, but your probably more experienced with wiki editing that I am... Effluvium talk contributions email 11:46, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
- yeah, that is the same code as in the realworld template. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 14:43, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
- OK. I've done it. However, I can't see the template (I tried it on Homer's page). Could you have a look? Thanks.. Effluvium talk contributions email 15:34, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
- Did you manage to have a look at the template after? Effluvium talk contributions email 19:34, August 24, 2010 (UTC)
- What's the template name, Effluvium, I can probably help you out. Or did you manage to get it to work already? TheUnderfaker 20:11, August 24, 2010 (UTC)
- Well, tbh, I cba to have a look at it. I need a bit of time away from wikis. I will edit in small amounts but not a lot any more. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 20:28, August 24, 2010 (UTC)
- OK...do you mind if prehaps me and the rest of the community also discuss about the homepage redesign? I mean, we've all been excited about it since Underfaker brought up the subject a few weeks ago... Effluvium talk contributions email 21:37, August 24, 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah sure. You don't have to keep asking me all the time. Which is part of the reason I want to take a break away from wikis. I am actually starting to get fed up of users asking me "can I do this", "can I do that" etc. I'm not blaming you guys of course, I am just getting tired of it. I will probably still be editng daily but would like you guys to take your problems elsewhere, if that's OK with you. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 21:40, August 24, 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, OK. Sorry, Solar. Didn't mean to cause you any trouble... Effluvium talk contributions email 21:41, August 24, 2010 (UTC)
- Seeing as nobody seems to be able to work out how to do this template, why don't we just scrap the idea then? However, after thinking about it, the templates we use now could be used somewhere else. Instead of having the "Semi-protected" and "Featured article" templates at the top, why not have them at the bottom with the other templates such as "Simpsons characters" and "Characters voiced by such-and-such". This way, they are out of the way, yet we are still able to identify them if need be. We could do this until we get the template working. Sorry to bother you again, Solar! I bet your sick of that little orange box appearing telling you that you have a message from me. Its just I want to check with you, if its ok? Effluvium talk contributions email 11:16, August 25, 2010 (UTC)
- Well, I tried and I failed miserably. From the looks of it, it doesn't look like you did anything wrong. I even looked at Wookieepedia's to make sure. But what I did notice is that they used to have a lot more coding to the templates. Anyway, at first I wasn't a fan of the idea. I've come to like our featured article banner—it stands out way more than a small icon in the corner. The only thing is, I just thought that the one we currently use (and the previous one) looked tacky (like most of our templates do). But then I thought about it, we can't have a banner over every article, if every article is supposed to be aspiring to featured status. That's my two cents.

On the other hand, I was looking at Wookieepedia's common.css and happened to see their coding for rounded corners that we can steal—I mean, "borrow". -_- TheUnderfaker 14:16, August 25, 2010 (UTC)
- Haha. Yeah. OK. Sounds good to me. I've just shoved the template at the bottom of the page for now, until we all come up with a better plan... Effluvium talk contributions email 14:19, August 25, 2010 (UTC)
- I've just looked at Memory Alpha (the Star Trek wiki) and they just have a similar template to us, but they put it at the bottom of the page, out of the way. I think thats what we should do... Effluvium talk contributions email 14:25, August 25, 2010 (UTC)
- Well, congratulations on earning the Lucky 1000th Edit badge Effluvium. It's like I said, I just cannot get those templates to work. And pushing the templates to the bottom, kinda defeats the purpose of drawing attention to featured articles, doesn't it?TheUnderfaker 14:30, August 25, 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks, Underfaker. However, I agree that kinda defeats the entire object of "showing-off" the article as a featured article, but, the article has already been showed off and put in the spotlight for a month on the front page, I feel its enough just to add a catagory (e.g Past featured articles) to the page and leave it at that... - Would you mind greatly having this conversation away from my talk page? I keep getting a message saying I have new messages! ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 14:34, August 25, 2010 (UTC)
- The conversation is now being talked about on Underfaker's talkpage, Solar Dragon. Sorry about that, Effluvium talk contributions email 14:38, August 25, 2010 (UTC)

Fix
Hi, can you please move Michelle Pfieffer to the correct spelling Michelle Pfeiffer which already exists, but was mispelled on the template. Thanks. Gran2 14:18, August 29, 2010 (UTC)
- Done. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 14:20, August 29, 2010 (UTC)
- Much oblidged. Gran2 14:31, August 29, 2010 (UTC)
Please help me!
I am not sure what you mean and what efflivlium means and I'm so confused!!!!ToyStoryFan123 19:29, August 29, 2010 (UTC)
- What do you mean? ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 19:36, August 29, 2010 (UTC)
- I think I know what ToyStoryFan123 means, Solar. ToyStoryFan, all I asked was if you could not change any of the images of the characters. This is because you were changing the profile images (with transparent backgrounds) for random screenshots from episodes, like you did with Moe Szyslak's page. Don't worry now, its all sorted out. Effluvium talk contributions email 21:01, August 29, 2010 (UTC)
- Right, cheers, Efflivlium I'll never do that again and I won't add useless photos and photos that are already there!ToyStoryFan123 17:45, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

Inventions on Taskbar
Hi, I was just wondering if you could add Inventions to the taskbar to encourage more editors to make pages. I am an admin on Wikiventions: http://wikiventions.wikia.com/wiki/Wikiventions_Wiki and my primary role is to link to other invention pages. I would also like to request that you add me to an affiliations page on the taskbar. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Empireparadox (talk • contribs) 18:32, 30 August 2010

- I removed the Female template as this categorised your user page as a female character. I also replaced your Ralph image that you uploaded with an already existent, more high quality one. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 06:32, August 31, 2010 (UTC)
Stub?
Hi!
I'm sorry for asking so much...
When should you put this article is a stub on a article?
Wikiboy96 14:05, August 31, 2010 (UTC)Wikiboy96
- If an article is small or could be bigger, the stub tag is placed there to tell users to make it bigger and more detailed. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 14:13, August 31, 2010 (UTC)
Pointless redirects
Hi, I'm sorry but it's not pointless because I'm using it in the page i'm making. I've done this redirect because a lot of file don't have a name easy to fond. Rather than banish me while I try to help you you would better make directives about names of files ;) (For example : File:200px-SantasLittleHelper.png or File:The Simpsons-Fat Tony.png and so on...)--Boungawa 19:13, September 1, 2010 (UTC)
- No. There is no need in image redirects. If I notice an image redirects to another image, I replace the redirect with the image and delete it. They are useless. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 19:26, September 1, 2010 (UTC)
- I've done that because i've seen that this page : File:Homer Simpson.png redirect to that File:Homer Simpson 2006.png ;)--Boungawa 19:28, September 1, 2010 (UTC)
