A Flaming Moe is a type of cocktail which was invented by Homer Simpson.
When Patty and Selma were visiting to show slides of their holiday, becoming bored with the slideshow, Homer decides he needs a beer. Patty explains that she took the last beer and Homer is forced to make something out of left-over alcoholic beverages.
After mixing several types of liquor together, while not paying attention he mixes in some Krusty-brand cough syrup. Upon returning to the slideshow somewhat later, Patty unknowingly drops her cigarette ashes in Homer's drink, setting it on fire. He blows out the fire and discovers the drink to be much more tasty.

The Flaming Moe's Song
When the weight of the world has got you down,
And you want to end your life
Bills to pay, a dead end job,
And problems with the wife
Well don't throw in the towel
Cause there's a place right down the block
Where you can drink your misery away
At Fla-ming Moes
Where liquor in a mug will warm you like a hug
Let's all go to flaming Moe's... Flaming Moe's
And happiness is just a flaming Moe away
Happiness is just a flaming Moe away
