Simpson Family Robinson Crusoe is a Simpsons Comics story first printed in Simpsons Comics #127.

Plot[edit]

Marge thinks the whole family should do something together, but Homer wants to watch TV, Bart wants to read his comic book and Lisa wants to read the book that she just started on, the story of the Family Robinson. Marge thinks Homer can read Lisa's book for the whole family and Homer starts reading it for the family. He quickly becomes tired of it and starts to read a simpler version, in the form of a comic story.

In the summer of 1826, the Simpson family were passengers on the sailing ship, Tempest-Tossed. It's been seven days since the boat was off course, and strong winds begin to destroy the ship when the crew escapes from the ship, leaving the Simpson family to their fate. The family thinks they are sentenced to death. They were on the ship after Mr. Simpson planned to take his adoring family on an extravagant holiday in the spring of 1826. The family was poor, but this boat tour should only cost £100. The ship was not what they expected: the rooms were bad, the captain was not the best, and the ship also had a mysterious professor. After the boat was destroyed, a large wave came and swept the family to a desert island. They start looking through the shipwreck and find plenty of food and beer. They begin to carry away the food when they hear a voice in the wreckage. It turns out that the professor has been left behind on the ship, and he follows them. They decide to build a signal fire, but it is too foggy for the smoke to be seen. The professor then explains about sea fog. The next day they leave the beach and go exploring the island. They start building a home among the largest trees, and soon it is finished. They find fruits on the island and realize that it is not that bad. Soon they run out of food and the house quickly becomes populated by insects. The professor continues to invent. He builds a washing machine, but it does not work so well. He then tells the truth: he is only a professor of home economics. They realize that the island is not actually a paradise, and the sea fog bothers them the most of all. After a while, Mr. Simpson decides to build a new boat to get away from the island. They build the boat in a cave, but when the boat is complete it's too big to take out of the cave. But luckily, they discover that the sea fog is edible and doesn't taste so bad. They still hope that someone will find them but they can't see the beach. The children start to go mad and consider eating their father. But one day, the fog clears, and they discover that they are just a hundred yards from their city, so they go home and decide to take their next trip by train.
