Cultural references
- The comic's title spoofs an iconic phrase from the Batman series "To the Batmobile".
- The four audio books the family listens to are parodies of children's chapter books The Phantom Tollbooth, James and the Giant Peach, Mr. Popper's Penguins and A Wrinkle in Time. Each time they imagine themselves portraying main characters and the citizens of Springfield as the supporting.
Trivia
- "The Phantom Tollhouse" is the only story to conclude, the other three are cut off abruptly by a distraction or outburst; two are made by Marge and one by Lisa. Each one leads the Simpsons' minds back to reality.
