- The title of the comic story is a reference to the line "Yippee ki-yay, Mr. Falcon" from Die Hard 2.
- When Homer is falling through the roof, Lenny says "it's raining men" and Waylon Smithers says "hallelujah!". This is a reference to the song "It's Raining Men".
