History

Bart and Tom watched an episode where Ren received a meal from Stimpy, who thought it was meatball soup and considering it delicious. Stimpy then explained that it was a collection of his fur balls in stomach acid. Ren began to feel sick and accused Stimpy of trying to kill him. Bart and Tom began to laugh.[1]

The Ren & Stimpy Show was nominated for an animation award against The Itchy & Scratchy Show. The viewing at the awards ceremony simply read "Clip not done yet", a comment on the slow production time of the show.[2]

While referencing The Itchy & Scratchy Show's habit of recycling animation to make new episodes Lisa said that Ren & Stimpy also did that. Marge then replied "When was the last time you heard anyone talk about Ren & Stimpy?".[3]
