Lewis
Lewis is a character on The Simpsons. He is Bart's only African-American friend, and one of only a handful of black students at Springfield Elementary. His best friend is Richard and can be seen playing the bassoon in the opening sequence of the show. Although one of the most minor characters in the show, Lewis appears frequently in scenes involving the Springfield children, and occasionally speaks. He is usually seen with Richard. In a Simpsons Comic Book, Lewis was referred to as Bart's "second best friend" and accompanied Bart and Milhouse.
