Planet Simpson: How a Cartoon Masterpiece Documented an Era and Defined a Gereration is a non-fiction book about the effect The Simpsons has had on Popular Culture. Written by Chris Turner, the book is 466 pages long (including the index) and contains eleven chapters, an introduction, and a foreword by Douglas Coupland. There is a chapter for every member of the family, save for Maggie and the pets.

Planet Simpson contains eleven chapters, including Citizen Burns (chapter four) Bart Simpson, Punk Icon (Chapter three) and The Ugly Springfieldianite (chapter eight).
