* Well, I checked on the Animation Guild that LORI Hanson has died in August but when I checked on IMDb, they're were TWO Laurie Hansons. One that worked at Hanna-Barbera, and the other worked at Filmation and The Simpsons. I can't clarify which one that died since on IMDb, they are two animators named Laurie Hanson. Can you check for evidence if the Laurie Hanson that worked on The Simpsons is the same person as the one that worked at Hanna-Barbera? I checked the IMDb page for LORI Hanson but it didn't mention anything about The Simpsons other than the other Laurie Hanson that worked on The Simpsons. {{UnsignedIP|69.255.225.138|11:48, September 27, 2022}}

Looks like, as I see you've seen, we were both right. Laurie did die, but she wasn't Lori. What a blunder on TAG's part announcing Lori was dead too... how does that even happen? Sorry for any confusion. [[User:Torm|Torm]] ([[User talk:Torm|talk]]) 20:22, October 13, 2022 (EDT)

Laurie Hanson

hello. I'm inclined disagree with your recent edits, they seem likely to be the same person

  • The original notice posted to TAG called her Laurie Hanson, and mentioned that she might have been a painter/checker, duties they both would have performed.
  • A commenter said he knew her in the 1980s when she was a "final checker at that point in her career". She was credited as a checker on He-Man/BraveStarr/The Simpsons + "Lori Hanson" has no checker credits, and only popped up in the 1990s, so that wouldn't make sense to be her

I could be wrong, but... what are the chances that there were two people with exactly the same name (phonetically) that worked in the same field, but don't have any overlapping credits? low?
