Waylon J. Smithers, Sr. is Waylon J. Smithers, Jr.'s dad. He died of radiation poisoning . After his death his corpse was disposed of by being placed down a drainage pipe because Burns said that funerals were too expensive. It is later discovered by a young Homer while swimming in a pond which traumatised him for life.
