The Meow-Lin Monastery is a monastery that appeared in the Itchy & Scratchy episode "The Great Brawl of China".
Description[edit]
The monastery is located at the top of a hill, and there is a long flight of steps leading to the entrance. The monastery has a years-long, intense martial arts training program which culminates in the trainee taking the Shaolin Aptitude Test, abbreviated S.A.T. The trainee punches holes in a paper panel, which is fed into a computer. The computer then scores the trainee in the areas of "Punching", "Kicking" and "Badass".History[edit]
Scratchy went to the monastery to train to get revenge on Itchy, who had killed Scratchy's grandfather. When Scratchy completed the program, his Shaolin Aptitude Test scores were as follows:
- 720 Punching
- 680 Kicking
- 790 Badass
After displaying Scratchy's scores, the computer pronounced him "Ready for Vengeance". Scratchy then journeyed to Itchy's monastery to confront him.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
- The monastery's name is a pun on the Shaolin Monastery.
