Power Plants vs. Zombies is a Bart Simpson's Treehouse of Horror story first printed in The Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror #20.
Synopsis[edit]
- "Homer and Bart must protect the nuclear power plant from a zombie invasion"
Plot[edit]
Bart is bored at Springfield Nuclear Power Plant during "Take your kid to work day". Homer decides to take Bart to the top secret room, and they get admission after tricking the guard into thinking that they are Mr. Burns and an actor from "Game of Thrones". Homer shows Bart an extremely dangerous radioactive rock in the top secret room. The two start throwing the stone when they are discovered by Mr. Burns and Waylon Smithers, and they run away with the stone. Everyone they pass turns into a zombie, and they start chasing Bart and Homer in search of brains.
Bart throws the stone out of the window and it lands in the park, where the Springfield Community Barbeque is being held. Bart and Homer try to run away from the zombies and run into the kitchen, where they squirt barbecue sauce onto the zombies, who start eating each other. Bart and Homer leave the plant and they discover that everyone in town has become a zombie, and they are waiting for them. Bart gets an idea: they should make organic mutants, just like in a video game. Homer gives him salad that Marge has made for him, and they cover it in radioactive waste. The salad comes to life and starts to attack the zombies. It goes well in the beginning, until the vegetarian zombies come and eat up the organic mutant. After they finish eating up the organic mutant, more zombies arrive. Bart gets one last idea: he tells the zombies that they do not want their brains because they are really dumb, and he takes them to a place where there are smart brains: Springfield College, where the zombies begin to eat up the students' brains.
