Book Information
|
Is Your Spouse a Souse? is a marriage book.
History[edit]
Following her husband's arrest and subsequent conviction for a DWI (driving while intoxicated), Marge Simpson grew concerned that Homer's drinking had gotten out of hand. One night, she was seen reading Is Your Spouse a Souse? in bed to help her identify telltale signs of alcoholism. Some of the tips the pamphlet included 1.) hiding places for beer 2.) difficulty falling asleep without aid of beer 3.) falling into a fantasy world after drinking. When Homer showed all three of those signs, Marge implored him to abstain from beer for one month.
