Comic Story information

The Case of the Hanging Shoes is a Bart Simpson story first printed in Bart Simpson #5.
Plot[edit]
Principal Skinner accuses Nelson of tying up Martin's shoes and throwing them on the power lines. Nelson tells Lisa that he is innocent and she believes him. When Groundskeeper Willie retrieves the shoes, Lisa takes the knot in the laces and tells Skinner and the school kids that it is a Dutch Cringle knot, which only Martin knows how to make. Martin admits that he framed Nelson to avoid a wedgie and used a medieval catapult to throw the shoes onto the line. Skinner drags Martin (plus Nelson and Bart) away for punishment.
