Synopsis[edit]

"College nerds Doug, Gary, and Benjamin have developed a new app, but it's going to take the marketing savvy of one Bart Simpson to make them all multi-millionaires"

Plot[edit]

Benjamin, Gary, and Doug have created an app called Chemistry Catalyst Clatter. After they publish it, they start to read the reviews and they realize that the game is not suitable for people who lack their intellect, so they need the help of an average person and they decide to talk with Homer. They tell Homer what an app is because he does not know what it is. He then falls asleep and Bart tells them that Homer is not the man they are looking for and he can test their games. Bart tells them it's too complicated, so he will not read their two-thousand-page manual. Bart gives them the idea for the greatest video game in history: You control a worm by tapping the screen, and every time you tap it speeds up. And when the worm moves it makes a whoopee cushion sound and a giant stinky foot chases after you. If the foot catches you, it splatters you and it's game over.

They decide to make Bart's game, and soon it's a success and everyone starts to play it. Bart gets then 100,000 shares from their company. The next day, it has been downloaded two million times, and each share is now worth a dollar. Bart comes up with more ideas to make the game better: if you swipe the worm forward he goes five times faster and raindrops fall from the sky, which the worm has to triple tap to avoid. The share increases to 10 dollars. Bart comes up with more ideas: he adds another worm and two more feet and if you shake the phone it will rain fire on the feet unless you shake it too fast and the ground becomes bumpy. If you move too slow and when you see a bolt you have to drag the feet.

The next day, the game has lost its popularity and everyone plays Unicorns vs. Ghosts and their stock is worth nothing. The new game is the same, except it's a unicorn instead of a worm and the foot is a ghost. Bart gets fired and the nerds decide to star in a reality dating show. Lisa asks Bart if he learned anything, and he has: you can't trust nerds to do anything right.
