Synopsis[edit]

"When Marge gets sent to a women's prison on a trumped up charge, it's up to Springfield's favorite plump schlump to get her out that dump. Yes, we're talking about Homer Simpson – and posing as a woman, committing a crime, and going to jail in order to break his wife out of the slammer may be the least of his worries."

Plot[edit]

Homer and Marge have bought a new mattress after Homer gets extra income because he sold his car engine and now drives Flintstones-style. Homer falls asleep quickly, but not Marge, who discovers that she is sleeping on the mattress tag and tears it loose even though it says that you should not. The police then come to arrest her. Homer is still sleeping and the mattress is taken as evidence. Three days later, Marge is sentenced to Springfield Women's Correctional facility, while Homer is awake and says he will rescue both her and the mattress. Marge finds out that Mayor Quimby has begun to arrest to all women for the slightest offense because his new prison is not full, and he doesn't want to see it as a failure. Marge becomes cellmates with Tattoo Annie and begins to befriend the other prisoners.

Homer tries to get back the mattress and Marge. Bart gives him the idea to dress up like Marge and change places with her. Homer disguises himself as Marge and goes to Discount Bedding & Bacon, where he tears off a mattress tag. Homer tells the police that he is totally guilty and does not need a trial, so he goes straight to prison. Homer calls himself Homerella Sampson but when he goes to find Marge, he finds out that she has just been released, and Homer panics. Marge comes home and tells the children that Quimby released all of the women that were imprisoned unfairly after Martha Quimby was caught Facebooking while intoxicated. Marge then goes back to prison to rescue Homer.

Marge decides to take Ned's letter from his mailbox and give it to him, but when she touches his mail she is arrested for mail tampering because it's a federal crime. Marge tells the police that she just violated her parole so she can immediately go back to prison. Homerella, meanwhile, has become the head of the kitchen and become best friends with Annie. Marge can't reach Homer and she talks with Red, a member of the kitchen crew. Red tells her she wants her kitchen back and Marge tells her that she wants to rescue Homer. Red tells her that she should stay with her because these kinds of events usually work out by themselves. The prisoners eat the first meal that Homerella has made, and they spit out the food and get angry because she can't cook. There is a riot in the prison, and Red takes Homerella and Marge to the kitchen and unlocks the door so they can both leave. Homer is scared that they are looking for them, but Marge tells him that neither of them should've been there in the first place.

Marge and Homer come home, where Tattoo Annie and her cronies are playing with the kids. They tell Homer and Marge that Homerella gave them their address and told them that they could come over when they wanted, and that they escaped during a riot. Homer laughs and says "Silly Homerella", much to Marge's annoyance.
