The Stinging Red Jellyfish is a species of jellyfish that returns to Springfield every year on the "third Tuesday of May sweeps." The people of Springfield celebrate its return with the annual Jellyfish Festival.
They are quite venomous, and their sting can immediately paralyze a victim.
History[edit]
Many Springfieldians attended the Jellyfish Festival to welcome back the Stinging Red Jellyfish. One of them stung Ralph Wiggum who floated off in the sea.
