Saakashvili Spring is a Georgian short film that was entered for a Golden Globe award against Angry Dad: The Movie, Condiments and The Brothers of Beauville.
Plot[edit]
Tanks are destroying a town when one comes up to a young girl next to a dead flower. The tank shoots a water tower so that the water trickles down and brings the flower to life again. The girl picks the flower, and puts it in the barrel of the tank. The tank sneezes and accidentally shoots a butterfly to bits. A bit lands on the girl's tongue and she dies and the tank starts to cry.
Years later, a playground was built around the tank and kids are playing on it. Suddenly, the playground blows up, killing the kids.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
- The film is a parody of Persepolis.
- The film's title is also a reference to former Georgian president, Mikheil Saakashvili.
