The picture is notable for being on of the rare times that actual original footage of a film is used on The Simpsons.
History
In the episode Love Is a Many-Splintered Thing Woody Allen took Bart and Mary Spuckler to a screening of La Règle du Jeu at the Springfield Moviehouse, however, much to Woody Allen's disappointment, the duo fell asleep.
