The World Weekly News is a fictional news tabloid magazine.

History

Homer and Bart entered Santa's Little Helper in an ugly dog contest. When they were designing a look for the dog, Homer said he wanted "something that looks like this" and showed Bart the "bat boy" creature on the cover of the magazine.

Behind the Laughter

  • The World Weekly News is a parody of the real-life tabloid magazine Weekly World News, which was published in the USA from 1979 to 2007. "Bat Boy" was one of the magazine's recurring subjects.
