"Mona Leaves-A" is the upcoming nineteenth episode of The Simpsons' nineteenth season. It will air on May 11, 2008.[1] It will guest star Glenn Close in her third and final appearance as Mona Simpson, and Lance Armstrong as himself.[1]
Plot
Homer finds out that his mother passed away. Feeling guilty for not expressing his love for her before her death, he decides to fulfil her wishes by scattering her ashes over Lake Wastershare at Springfield Monumen t Park. Her ashes get stuck in a rocket and they chain him. He gets out and thinks water will bring her back to life, but Marge says it dose not work that way. So Homer lets the ashes out and before the credits are flashbacks of her doing all the good stuff they will always remember about Mona. [1]
Cultural references
The title is a reference to the famous Da Vinci painting, the Mona Lisa.
