Company Information

Burnsanto is a company that produces genetically modified food products that Mr. Burns owns.
Description
Genetically modified food products are the specialty of this agricultural biotech company. In 1987, experiments were conducted in the R & D department of Springfield Nuclear Power Plant in an effort to grow vegetables big enoguht to feed an earlier experiment. (Don't ask!) This technology formed the basis of Burnsanto. The seeds produced by the company are gentetically engineeerd to resist pesticides and herbicides, while yielding basketball-sized tomatoes, broocoli big enought to provide shae, and baby corn the size of regular corn. Side effects of the genetic mutation process on fruit and vegetables may include fur, throbbing veins, and the occasional blinking eyeball, but the top scientists are working on eliminating these anomalies or at least finding a way to put a positive marketing spin on them.
