History
After Ned bought 742 Evergreen Terrace, and the Simspons fell behind on the rent, Homer cited a tip from the book to help them keep the house: specifically, that the "evictee will be granted a stay of eviction if said household includes a resident aged 65 or over".

The book's title is a wordplay on the 1988 song "Simply Irrestible" by Robert Palmer.
