The Itchy & Scratchy Show Episode Information
|
"That Happy Cat" is the first cartoon to feature Scratchy the Cat. It was made in 1928. It was shown during Eye on Springfield the same day that The Itchy & Scratchy Movie came out, as a look back at the history of Itchy & Scratchy.
Plot
Scratchy, wearing a hat, walks down the street. When he reaches a street corner, he stops and whistles while rocking back and forth on his heels. After he finishes, he adjusts his hat forward and crosses the street.
Kent Brockman, hosting the program, said that the cartoon did very poorly.
Behind the Laughter
- "That Happy Cat" is in black-and-white and is animated in the style that was prevalent during the 1920s.
- In the cartoon "Steamboat Itchy", Scratchy whistles the same tune and adjusts his hat when he finishes in the same way as he does in "That Happy Cat".
