Description
US description
"Welcome to Springfield, USA - the town that put the "Fun" in dysfunctional! whether enjoying the shotgun sociability of Moe's Tavern, creamed cornsicle at the Springfield Retirement Castle, the gene-altering radiance of the Springfield Plant or the warm perspiration of a Kwik-E-Mart."
UK description
"Words will never be the same again - this unique version of Scrabble introduces new rules, new components and a whole new way to play! Play Scrabble the way you know and love - or dare to play the Simpson's way, on a board with some very surprising features! The Simpson's Scrabble cards add another special feature: play a card on your turn, and get your favourite characters from the show to help you score big time (or hold up your opponent...)! A Glossary of words from The Simpsons included in the rules booklet gives a whole new list of words you can play - but only in The Simpsons edition of Scrabble!"
Differences
From original Scrabble
Apart from the obvious aesthetic changes, new words were added from The Simpsons such as kwyjibo and D'oh.
UK - US differences
The UK game was made by Mattel while the US game was made by Hasbro. The UK's board was double sided and better made than the US board. The US version has special Simpsons tiles while the UK version has special cards instead.
