George Plimpton (18 March 1927 – 25 September 2003) was an American journalist, writer, editor and actor. He appeared as himself in the episode "I'm Spelling as Fast as I Can". He was known for co-founding The Paris Review, his sports journalism and acting roles in shows like ER.
