History[edit]

Homer watched reruns of the 1980s family sitcom Thicker than Waters, and during an episode the daughter character Lizzie Waters was seen reading Tiger Beat.[1]

An issue of Teen Beat was being sold at the Springfield Squidport in the 1980s.[2]
