The next morning on the school bus, Bart tells Otto he thinks his guitar is broken, and Otto—with the bus still stopped in traffic—wows his passengers with an impromptu concert, thoughtlessly clogging up the road. Otto loses track of time and is forced to drive recklessly to school. Otto's bus runs Spinal Tap’s bus off the road, which crashes and bursts into flames (possibly killing them). According to the writers, this scene was not in the original script, and was added because they felt the band's final scene was not interesting enough.<ref name="Groening">Groening, Matt. (2003).
