- Similar to the stories Let's See It Again! The Origin of Radioactive Man and The Little Boy with the Big Dream in this issue, this story is also a parody of Steve Ditko's work for Captain Atom and Charlton Comics.
- Roargo is a parody of Gorgo, and Kinga is a parody of Konga. Both were monsters from 1961 movies that Charlton Comics had the rights to make comics for, and subsequently Steve Ditko worked the art on their respective comics.
- I.M. Redd's origin story is similar to that of Doctor Strange from Marvel Comics, a character that Ditko created.
