Bonanza is an American western television series.

History[edit]

Lisa was in Marge and Homer's bed and watched an episode from the series. In the episode an old man toldo Ben Cartwright that his boys have been eating my apples. Ben told the man that it didn't sound like his boys, and said "I'll thank you to keep a civil tongue". Marge asked Lisa if she really wanted to watch this, and she said she think there's a danger that this time they might lose the Ponderosa.[1]

The Simpsons attended a reunion event of the Bonanza cast members at the Springfield Mall, but by this point only two cast members, who both played Indians on the show, have survived. The Indians try to crack a joke about how "Father Time" took care of their business of killing the Cartwrights, but when that falls flat, they resort to dancing to the theme tune, at which point the Simpsons leave, with Marge wondering "Weren't there three Indians last year?"[2]
