== History ==
[[Waylon Smithers, Jr.]] went to visit Mattingly at his house to ask him to come and work at the [[Springfield Nuclear Power Plant]], so that he could join the plant's softball team. Mattingly acted friendly towards Smithers and invited him into his house. All through his training, [[Mr. Burns]] told him to get rid of his sideburns. On the day of the big game against [[Shelbyville]], Mattingly has shaved off the sides of his head bald but Mr. Burns got angry at the fact he hadn't shaved off his sideburns, obviously mistaking what they actually were, and sent Mattingly home.
