Lyrics[edit]

Love and marriage,
Love and marriage,
Was the song from that show,
With Al Bundy.
Now he's on Modern Family.
And the neighbor guy was Ted McGinley.
Doo-doo, doo-doo,
Doo-doo, doo-doo.

Behind the Laughter[edit]

The song is a parody of "Love and Marriage", originally sung by Frank Sinatra. It was used as the theme song for the show Married... with Children. The parody song's lyrics mention Al Bundy from the show and reference his actor, Ed O'Neill, going on to play Jay Pritchett in Modern Family. The lyrics also mention that Ted McGinley played the "neighbor guy", referring to Jefferson D'Arcy from Married... with Children.
